Back when the Dreamcast reigned, the site www.deco.franken.de (the website of the creator of the Chao Editor) hosted the Chao Editor files. It was readily accessible on the Dreamcast, meaning getting the Chao Editor was a matter of connecting online, getting to the site, and downloading the Chao Editor to your VMU. Nowadays, with the advancements of the internet, the official Dreamcast web browsers can't load that site at all. But fear not! The XDP Browser is here to save the day!
The XDP Browser is a fanmade Dreamcast Browser, more advanced than any of the official ones. No, we're not going to be connecting online with it, instead, we'll be looking towards the software bundled with the browser. In the browser, there's a whole wealth of DC files that we can download, which includes Chao Editor for SA1 and Chao Editor for SA2!
Just like that, you are the owner of a Chao Editor! Use it like a regular Chao Adventure game, documentation of how to use it can be found elsewhere (I'm too lazy to write it here).
OF MAJOR NOTE!!!!!! Chao Editor 2, by itself, doesn't work with SA2 AT ALL!!! You must find a VMU Editor, download it, and rename the Chao Editor 2 file to "SONIC2____VM" (four underscores). Only then it will work!
