Use Old Graphics

There is a web site called GifCities founded by the Internet Archive which has a treasure trove of graphics that were once used on old Geocities sites. Feel free to use any graphics you can find on there. There are other pages similar to it that you can also use.

GIF Images (& JPEGs)

Consider making your images .GIF and .JPG files. In the early days of the internet, .GIF files and .JPG were preferred over other formats for their small file sizes, which saved on space. GIF files usually cover images with fewer colours, while JPGs deals with images with more colours and gradients.

Use Wild Colours & Layouts

Part of the magic of the old web is just how wacky, garish, and wild pages looked. Be creative! Feel free to use a wide range of colours and layouts for your page.
